Trails
With more than 1,000 miles of trails through picturesque landscape,
Northern Wisconsin sees plenty of action. In addition, our friendly
towns make the area a rider's paradise. Here are just a few of the ATV,
Snowmobile and dual-use trails located near our shop in Iron River.
Iron
River ATV Trail
17.5 miles of tough trail; sandy,
winding, wooded with limited visibility.
Valhalla ATV Trail
A loop trail, approximately 16
miles in length. The surface is loose sand and the trail is heavily
forested with good viewpoints atop the Old Valhalla Ski Hill.
Chequamegon-Nicolet II
92 miles of National Forest dual-use trail for snowmobiling in winter
and ATVing in summer.
Chequamegon-Nicolet Great Divide Trail
160 miles of snowmobile trails
in Ashland, Bayfield, and Sawyer Counties. These trails are part of the
county snowmobile trail systems and include trails such as Route 8,
Route 25, and Route 21. Trails are utilized for
snowmobiling in winter months and ATV
trails in summer.
Tri-County Recreational Corridor Trail
A 62-mile, improved railbed trail that
connects Ashland to Superior. Trail passes through scenic terrain in
Ashland, Bayfield and Douglas Counties.
Douglas County ATV Trails
Eighty-two miles of trail on parts of the
Saunders Grade, Gandy Dancer, and Wild Rivers State Trails.
